Etude House Minnie Mouse

If you know me, then you know I am a Disney fanatic! I own a ton of cosmetics and products that are Disney themed and absolutely love doing Disney inspired nails. I stumbled upon Etude House and found out they had just released a Minnie Mouse collection, so I snatched it up as soon as I could. I'm in the US so I had to order from eBay, if you're wondering where to find these lovely polishes.

Minnie Red is a medium red creme. The formula is really fantastic, no streaks and it only took two coats for opacity. And although red polishes are known for causing stains, the stain from this color was minimal.

With a matte top coat, the color becomes a pinch darker, but it still a lovely red. And yes, a white glitter did sneak into my matte, darn speck!

Silver Bow is a glitter topper with silver bows, white circles and pink hexes of varying sizes. I can also see a bit of holographic silver micro glitters. This topper was a little pesky to get a good amount of glitter out. I used two coats over Butter London Cuppa, very simple and cute!

I love how soft the matte makes this combination look. You can also see the bits of holographic glitter better and the little silver bows are to die for!

Pink And White Bow this glitter topper is a huge mix of pink hexes, iridescent squares, white circles, micro iridescent hexes, and pink and white bows. The glitters were much easier to get out of the bottle, but I did two coats anyway over Sinful Colors Candy Coated.

Once again, the matte top coat softens this combination perfectly. I also love the way the iridescent glitters shine, they look really beautiful with the pastel purple.

Minnie White is also a glitter topper that has a burst of glitters. Including pink hexes, squares and bars, iridescent squares, white circles, hexes and mouse ears. I even see some micro glass flecks sprinkled in! The amount of glitter that came out in two coats is astounding and looks great over Zoya Mira.

With the matte top coat, the iridescent squares are shining bright! You can see the glass flecks much better in matte and the white mouse ears pop!

Minnie Black is another glitter topper, but much more simple in the combination of glitters. With black, white and pink hexes, and black mouse ears. It was a little finicky with the application, but two coats over OPI Tasmanian Devil Made Me Do It looks really nice.

I am totally in love with this color in matte, it looks like falling confetti. I mean come on, who doesn't want a party on their nails?

Bubble Pink is a gorgeous bubble gum pink creme, but I feel like there's a tiny hint of orange hidden in this color. It only took two coats for opacity and this color is ready for Spring!

The matte top coat softens it quite a bit and I no longer see any orange tones. It reminds me a lot of the Beautifully Disney polish Enchanted Kiss, which is also a pretty pink.

Bundle Monster 10pcs Metal Nail Veil Review

*Products in this post were sent to me for the purpose of a 100% honest unbiased review.*

So I was recently accepted to become sponsored by BundleMonster.com and was overjoyed to begin reviewing their products. My first package contained a set of their awesome 10pcs metal nail veils and I immediately tried every single one of them on! I love that the metal is so sturdy, despite the designs being so intricate.

I've never tried nail veils before, but found out they're extremely simple to use! Just add a little nail glue and press them on, they'll stay put for a long time. I paired the full gold veil with Rainbow Honey Ivy's Kiss over Color Club Wild Cactus and am in love with how elegant the gold looks with the emerald green.

I was dying to try a Spring look with this silver nail veil, the black flower design is so cute! I paired it with Deborah Lippmann I'm Not Edible, the black flower goes so well with the black glitter. Another plus side of metal nail veils is that they're easily reusable. All you have to do is peel them off when you're done and wipe the backing down with a little remover!

The rest of the gold veils in the set aren't necessarily full nail, but they cover quite bit! My favorite out of them all is the one on the far left, the filigree is lovely. From left to right the base colors are: OPI Magazine Cover Mouse, Beautifully Disney Diva Of The Deep, Butter London Bluey and Zoya Dahlia.

The silver set has one more full nail veil, which is glamorously covered in rhinestones! These silver veils are amazingly beautiful with filigree and rhinestones galore. My favorite of this set has to be the second one in from the left, I'm a sucker for delicate designs. Base colors from left to right are: Zoya Carter, Essie Butler Please! and China Glaze Holly-Day.

This set can be found at bundlemonster.com  and you can also buy pairs of a single design!

Quick Post: Finger Paints Flakies 2014 Vs. 2012

Awhile back I got the new Finger Paints flakies, because the ones they released in 2012 were amazing! I swatched them awhile back and decided to also do a comparison and am just now getting around to posting. Sorry about that! I'll be layering each one over black, so you can see the full effect they have.

Colorful Dream is a rainbow pastel flakie top coat, which is really gorgeous. I did two coats to really cover the nail and show all the colors this flakie has to offer.

Up against Twisted it seems a lot more subtle and delicate. Its a nice contrast, but I'm still drawn to the brighter flakie.

Psychedelic Hue is a beautiful pastel green and blue flakie. Although you can see the colors and its covering most of the nail, I feel like there's something missing from this polish.

When put next to Flecked I can see a bit of yellow come out of Psychedelic Hue. I also noticed that the flakes in the new collection seem to be a bit more shredded.

Abstract Attraction is a gorgeous blue and purple flakie. This has to be one of my favorites from this line, especially over the black.

Next to Motley you can see its more toned down, but not quite pastel. I also see a tiny bit of pink standing out now!

Symmetrical Symphony is a nice blue and orange flakie. I actually love the color contrast this color has to offer!

You can tell that Finger Paints definitely went for more subtle coloring in this collection, as opposed to their bright 2012 collection.

Vivid Reflection is a lovely mix of orange, pink and purple flakies. They layer together really nicely!

I'd have to say that when comparing it to Flashy, I'm leaning more towards Vivid Reflection, but that could just be my preference. I love the subtlety of Vivid Reflection!

Sorry I haven't been around lately!

Things have been so busy since I started school and I haven't had much time to get any swatches or blogging done. The two classes I'm taking are going by so quickly, but there is so much work that I barely have time to paint my own nails. Luckily this weekend I was able to get ahead in my homework, so I have a little time to get some posts together!

Here is my manicure for the week! I wanted to do something that would really pop and something that I hadn't done before. This design I found online was a perfect fit and so easy too! I used Color Club Mrs. Robinson and a Sinful Colors white and black. All you have to do is lay down the black dots with a dotting tool, let them dry and layer white almost all the way over the black. I can't stop staring at them, and maybe that's a bad thing for classes, but I love the three dimensional feeling they give!

I was also able to get to the store this weekend and buy a better case for my Nail Care kit. In the kit we got a duffle bag, but it didn't have wheels and believe me when I say this kit is heavy! I got this wheeled toolbox from Home Depot and everything fits really nicely, but leaves room for anything I might need to add later. My mom actually got this for me because she has one she uses for all her floral classes!

It has a nice pull out area where I keep my tools and polishes.

Underneath is where I keep my bigger tools like gloves, a soak bowl, sanitizer and my sterilizing tray. Also any lotions, remover and etc.

And finally in the bottom compartment I can fit my pedicure tubs and towels.

In just a few weeks my first two classes will be over and I'll have about six left to go. I have learned so much and will definitely put it to use. But hopefully I can make some time to come update and keep bloggin' on!
