Try It On Tuesday: L'Oreal Polishes

I recently got to go on a little shopping spree and found this lovely four pack of L'Oreal polishes. It was a great find at Ross for only $6.99! So I decided to try swatch them on this lovely Tuesday.

Perfect Trench is supposed to be a khaki tan, but turned out to be a perfect mustard yellow. It went on a tad streaky, but two coats for opacity. I found this color intriguing in the bottle, but I love it on! Its a really unique color that I haven't seen around.

Check Me Out is a almost like a darker bubblegum pink. You can't tell in the photo, but it has a hidden blue shimmer to it. This one wasn't nearly as streaky and went on opaque in three coats. I found this color to be charming since its a darker pink than is usually seen.

Notting Hill Blues is subtle neon dark blue, that also has a hidden blue shimmer. No streaking with this color and opaque in two coats. I've seen this color around before, but the shimmer adds a subtle difference. Hey, that's enough for me to like it!

Hudson Sunset is a decadent chocolate brown, no shimmer for this color. This polish gave me no trouble and went opaque in two coats. I think this is my favorite out of the set. I've been looking for a nice brown lately and I found it!

My 10 Must Have Colors!

When I first started my collection of nail polish I didn't know what colors to get, so I seriously just grabbed any. Today, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite colors and what I think every girl should have in her polish stash!

First off, I really love Butter London Cuppa. Its not quite a nude, but its a nice creamy tan! I love layering pastel glitters over this color or under glitter gradients.

Purple is my absolute favorite color, but lavenders are just amazing. It gives a pop of color without being neon and is great for Spring. Above is Finger Paints Spun Sugar, but other good lavenders are Zoya Malia and Essie Play Date!

Mint is just an amazing color and seems to be really popular lately! Also great for Spring and pretty with silver accents. China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint is a perfect soft mint, but another great mint is Butter London Fiver.

Now this might not be a color for everyone, but I have a secret love for soft oranges. This is Ulta Peach Parfait and its not quite as soft as I'd like, but a good pastel orange is hard to find!

A nice grass green is pretty and comes in handy if you're doing nail art! Nicole By O.P.I One Time Lime is perfect for a blast of color, an alternative is Essie Mojito Madness.

Zoya Sweet is a flawless bubblegum pink that I believe everyone should own. When I was younger I wasn't a big fan of pink, but I love it now! And its perfect for when you want to feel really feminine.

Another color I think is just as important as mint is turquoise. I decided to pick a really popular one which is Essie Turquoise & Caicos, it reminds me of the ocean.

Now I would say that a dark blue is essential, but a neon dark blue is superior. I fell in love with Essie Butler Please when it was released and haven't found another blue quite like it.

A great neutral must have is a light grey. O.P.I Skull & Glossbones is a fantastic color, but China Glaze Pelican Grey is another good one. Light greys are amazing for newspaper manicures!

And last, but certainly not least: Holographic! Everyone needs a silver holographic, they're absolutely stunning. Color Club Harp On It is perfect and will look fantastic on a sunny day!

Quick Post: Orly Peaceful Opposition

Orly Peaceful Opposition has become a favorite of mine. Its so simple and pretty, I love the silver glitters in it. And the fact that layers create this sort of jelly sandwich. Even in matte its still gorgeous and the glitters still shine just as bright! I believe I did two coats for opacity and it got really great glitter coverage as well.

I used it for this look I did awhile back. I paired it with Zoya Dahlia, which turned out to be a fantastic combination. And placed little black gems to add a little sparkle.

Rainbow Polish Wild Orchid

*Products in this post were sent to me for the purpose of a 100% honest unbiased review.*

Although I've only gotten to try one other Rainbow Polish color, I jumped at the chance to do a review for their upcoming collection! I received a bottle from their new "Escape" collection, which includes eight colors in total.

Wild Orchid is a scrumptious hot pink jelly with tiny holo glitters. Its filled with light purple and blue hexes and sprinkled with purple squares. I did two coats over a clear base coat because its really stunning on its own. I absolutely love it with a shiny top coat, it just sparkles!

Its still pretty in matte, but it takes away the jelly shine. You can see the detail of the tiny glitters though, which is neat! The formula of this polish is great, you get really good coverage without the glitter getting too goopy. I cannot wait to see what the rest of the collection looks like!

Texture Compare

Textures are a big trend lately and I'm right on board with them! Some have glitter, some are meant to look like concrete but they're all fantastic on their own. In the photo above I have on Milani Purple Streak, O.P.I Can't Let Go and Zoya Stevie.

Milani Texture in Puprle Streak is a no frills polish. Its a dark purple with no glitter and reminds me of chunky concrete, but in a good way! You need about two coats to get opacity and the formula is really smooth.

Zoya Pixiedust in Stevie is the most subtle texture of the group. The color is really soft and its packed with silver glitters. It only takes two coats for opacity and once its dry its really soft to the touch.

O.P.I liquid sand in Can't Let Go bring more to the table than its texture. Its got all sizes of purple hex glitters in it and looks even better with top coat. Two coats for opacity and also pretty soft to the touch.

Pretty And Polished Magical Color Changers!

The moment I saw Pretty And Polished's video of their first color changing polish, I just knew I had to check them out for myself. I don't know how she does it, but these polishes are just absolutely amazing!

Day Trippin' is a ravishing deep purple with a subtle pink and purple shimmer. Two coats for opacity and the formula was very smooth! This polish is purple in the bottle and stays purple when cold.

And when immersed in hot water or heated, it turns a beautiful hot pink! It only takes a split second dip in hot or cold water for this polish to change colors. Its a trip to watch and so fun to test out!

And finally, this is about how the color settles without any water. I'm assuming your fingertips provide heat to keep it pink, while any nail that goes out past your fingers is kept cold. Creating a wonderful instant gradient type french tip!

May Flowers is a great vibrant green sprinkled with glitter of all shapes and colors. Two coats for opacity and the glitter didn't make the formula at all chunky. This is the color you see in the bottle and it stays that way with a cold temperature.

A quick dip in hot water turned it this beautiful white. Although my camera was having trouble focusing on the beauty of May Flowers, you can still tell its gorgeous with its bright glitters.

And finally, here it is untouched. The heat of my fingertips keeping it white, while the tips transitioned into green. These polishes are simply magical and so beautiful. And I'm not going to lie to you, I spent a good half an hour changing the colors back and forth!

Digital Nails Review

*Products in this post were sent to me for the purpose of a 100% honest unbiased review.*

I recently got in touch with the wonderful Digital Nails and she was kind enough to send me two of her gorgeous polishes for review!

Sorry I'm Not Made Of Sugar is a purple holo jelly with black and hidden iridescent glitters. So many good things all in one! I did three coats on its own above, which caused opacity, but it hid the glitters! Its a stunning deep purple and the holo is perfection!

This time I did two coats over China Glaze Sweet Hook. You can definitely see the glitters better and can even get a glimpse of  the iridescent glitters on my thumb and ring finger. I think I prefer layering it over a soft purple so that you can see just how much is in it!

Galactica is a clear base crammed with duo chrome gold and green glitters. I wanted to get good opacity, so I did three coats over Color Club Sunrise Canyon. You can see on my thumb that the glitter shift color from green to a dusty dark blue. I absolutely love this color, not only because the glitter is sublime, but it matches the glitter on my Disney polish display perfectly.

I did one coat over plain black so you could see the detail of the glitters. It looks amazing with full coverage, but its just as lovely over black. The formula in both polishes are smooth and not at all goopy as well!

Color Club Fiesta Collection

I went shopping a few days ago and was lucky enough to stumble upon the new Color Club Fiesta collection! The colors are so vibrant and perfect for Spring.

Mamba is a spicy bright red. Two coats made a perfect opaque. I'm not too big on reds, but this one is a nice hot red and the name is just so fitting!

Flamingo is a nice bubblegum pink. Two coats for opaque. I really love the formula on these, I didn't think Color Club could improve it, but they seemed to have perfected it!

Sunrise Canyon is a neon yellow-green. I don't think I've come across a green this amazing! Two coats for opaque and it illuminates my nails. This is one of my favorites, its a stunning neon.

Wild Cactus is a deep blue-green. Two coats opacity. This is another unique color in this collection that I adore.  Its not as bright as the other colors, but its still a charming color.

Endless Summer is a beautiful neon dark blue. Two coats for opacity. This one reminds me of Essie Butler Please which I absolutely love. It seems lighter though and I like that.

On The Rocks is a sparkling silver. Another two coats for opacity. I think this silver is as close to chrome nails as you can get. Its a nice silver and reminds me of the sun beaming off of rocks.
