Ciate Chalkboard Manicure!

I've been holding off on this set for awhile now, but I think its finally time to share! I found out about the chalkboard manicure set online and grabbed it while I was out and about. I tried it out before I had moved and it was a little frustrating at first.

I learned quickly that using a base coat is a major mistake, because it turns the black matte into what almost looks like crackle. You also have to get the paint pens ready before hand because if you press them into your nail, you will get polish dents! Another concern is that you may have to scrub really hard with water to get the chalk pens off your nails, if you made a mistake or want to try another look.

The set came with four different pens, pink being the brightest. I was a little impatient and put top coat over the white too soon, oops! And the yellow is not as solid as I'd like, but that's alright. Once you get the hang of the set, it becomes fairly easy!

I decided to try a kind of dot gradient with the white pen and really adore how it came out. It reminds me of a really dark, snowy night! I'll definitely be experimenting with this set in the future.

Nicole By OPI Tinkerbell Collection

If you know me, you know I'm a total Disney fanatic! When I found out that Nicole By OPI were releasing a Tinkerbell collection I just had to run out and get it! Once I saw them in person, I thought they were a perfect set of Summer colors, so let's check them out.

Tink's In The Pink is similar to a bubblegum pink, buts its a touch darker. Pinks have grown on me lately, so this is a really nice one. It went opaque in two coats, with no streaks!

Half-Charming Half-Alarming is a wonderful bright red jelly. It took four coats for opacity and I'm not sure this was meant to be a jelly. I took a liking to it though and can't wait to create a jelly sandwich with it!

Pixie Glitter is full of silver holographic hexes and moons. I layered it over Color Club Endless Summer and love how it turned out. Two coats gave it really great coverage, I was a bit surprised!

Fairy Fairy Quite Contrary is an awesome bright orange. Two coats for opacity and no streaks either! I think its the perfect orange for a Summer monarch butterfly manicure.

How Fairy Nice Of You! is an adorable petal pink. Three coats for this one, which isn't too bad! The fact that the pink it pastel, but not washed out is amazing.

Sweet On Pete is a fantastic chartreuse and you know I love chartreuse! Opaque in two coats, no streak and a great formula. Chartreuse must be the color this Summer, because its everywhere! But I have no complaints!

Improved Workspace And Magic Cake!

So now that I've moved in and everything is in its place, I thought I'd share my new improved workspace. I got new shelves, a few melmers, decorated and re-arranged! I also wanted to share an awesome manicure I had last week and how it looks under my new UV lamp!

I changed up the way I had my racks displayed. Creating a nice little polish corner for myself and I absolutely love it! Its right at the top of my stairs, so I get to see my pretties every time I head over to my desk. Can you guess what my favorite brand is? Hehe!

I also got new shelves for my displays, so no more bulky black rack! And I still adore the shelf and frame I made for my Beautifully Disney collection! And I framed two sets of false nails I did that I just had to keep. I would love a small staircase shelf for my Candy Lacquers on the last shelf, but that'll have to wait.

My two melmers that my awesome mom helped me decorate with contact paper. The inside of each drawer is also lined with chevrons. Up top are pens, nail tools, craft scissors and my calender to keep me on track! Sadly, but not too sad, these two are almost full and I'll have to get more soon.

My manicure from last week. I layered Rainbow Honey Magic Cake over Color Club Nature's Way. I really love the way the neon glitters look over the soft nude.

And under UV light, it truly becomes Magic Cake! You can be sure that I'll be using my new UV lamp a lot more in the future.

Quick Post: Salon Perfect Micro Glitters

Awhile back I had asked one of my friends to pick these up for me, I swear I could not find them anywhere! But I'm really excited that she sent them and I can't wait to share the swatches with you all.

Zapped is bursting with lime green and blue micro glitters! I layered it over Essie The More The Merrier, with three coats it was mainly opaque.

The matte top coat tones it down a little, but its still vibrant and lovely.

Shocked is sprinkled with neon pink and blue glitters. Now I'm not sure if its the two colors layering over one another, but there's definitely some purple in there. Three layers over Zoya Lara and its good to go!

The matte top coat on this color definitely tones it down, but makes it look like really neat neon sand!

Kaboom is drenched in neon green and blue glitters. This color is most popular for being a dupe of the indie Floam. Three coats for opacity over Color Club Endless Summer.

Again, loving this color in matte! I'd have to say this look easily became my favorite of the three.

Polishes From Panama!

So one of my dear friends in Panama was kind enough to send me some polishes that were made there to try out! She sent me some beautiful colors and I decided of course, to post in shiny and matte.

The company name for this color (and the blue you'll see below) is called Paola. Esmeralda is a gorgeous chartreuse with a hint of gold shimmer. I absolutely adore it in shiny coat, it brings out the shimmer in it. Also, two coats for opacity!

With matte top coat it looks just as beautiful, but more velvety.

The company of this color is Derosa, there wasn't a color name listed. Its a nice dark purple with a neon pop. I did three coats, just to get a suitable coverage. It reminded me a lot of Butter London Brummie, because it almost had that rubber finish.

The matte makes it a little more dusty, but its still a brilliant color!

Rombos is also by Paola. I have to say this is my favorite of the three. Its a gorgeous beetle blue with shimmer to match. Two coats for opacity and the formula is so smooth.

And this is why its my favorite, its just breath taking in matte. You can still see the lovely shimmer and it looks so velvety soft. Just perfect!

These make me really want to figure out what other wonderful colors I must be missing out on!

Beautifully Disney Unlock The Spell Collection

When I saw that Disney had released their new Spring/Summer line of Beautifully Disney I had to run down and grab myself a set! I was sad to find out that one of the colors they show was only available in the mini set, but I have the others to share!

Provincial Mademoiselle is a sunny yellow. I really love this color because its not highlighter yellow or pastel, its a perfect in-between. It wasn't streaky at all and only took three coats for opacity!

And matte coat just softens it up to a really subtle canary yellow.

Beautiful Bayou is a deep emerald green. I think this color is just gorgeous, such a forest green. Two coats for opacity and the formula is amazing!

The matte top coat makes this color look so velvety and rich!

Let Your Hair Down is a vibrant raspberry pink. It almost looks like a jelly, but three coats and it was opaque. I adore it with shiny top coat.

And matte makes it a darker raspberry, which is a nice change. I think this would be a great combo for Fall!

I cannot wait until their Fall/Winter collection!

Maybelline Polka Dotted!

Hello again everyone! I am finally settled into my new place and am so ready to get back to blogging regularly. I have so many ideas and polishes to share with you and I cannot wait to get started!

First off I want to share these wonderful polishes a good friend of mine brought back from the UK for me! I believe they're also available in the US now as well, so definitely check them out.

Rain Forest Canopy is a gorgeous jade jelly base with black and white hex glitters in varying sizes. It took my two coats to get this mainly opaque. The formula is nice, the glitter isn't goopy at all. And with one coat of Seche Vite it went pretty smooth.

With a touch of matte coat it turns into a dusty jade that's just lovely!

Shooting Stars has black and white hexes in a fabulous deep blue jelly. Again, two coats for opacity and you get such great glitter coverage as well.

I used Butter London matte top coat over it and it created a dusty blue night sky, just beautiful.

Speckled Pink is an exciting bubblegum pink jelly with black and white glitters sprinkled in! I really love how the pink jelly over black glitters makes them appear almost purple.

Now I'd have to say I prefer this one in a shiny top coat, but matte isn't all that bad!

Chalk Dust is just the black and white glitters in a clear base. If you prefer to pair it with your own color! I layered it on top of Butter London Brummie and just loved the combo.

I'd have to say I love this one in matte because it almost looks like I got speckled paint all over my nails. So cute!
