Nailgasm Star Trek DS9 Collection!

Nailgasm just released her new Star Trek DS9 collection! I had to get my hands on it so I could swatch everything for you all to see. Here are five gorgeous, nerdy colors to feast your eyes on!

Blood Wine is a beautiful wine red holo. I used two coats and its completely opaque and looks much more holographic in person. I am in love with Nailgasm's holos. They're always just right!

Bajor's Flowers is a pleasant orange coral with yellow and blue hexes. The best part of this one are the adorable little yellow flower glitters! I didn't think this color would look good on my skin tone, but I really love it.

Kanar is an amazing green jelly with tiny black hexes, medium and large green hexes. I put two coats over Ulta The Jungle Look and its just amazing. The glitters still shine through the jelly, which is fantastic.

Gold Plated Latinum is a treasure trove of brown, gold and copper colored hexes of all sizes. I did a reverse gradient of it over Layla Softouch Aqua Zen and think it looks dazzling! This picture really doesn't so it justice its so sparkling.

Jem'Hadar has got to be my favorite of all. Its a grey base with grey hexes, purple hexes and purple squares. I am totally in love with square glitters. This one is just stunning to me. The grey and the hue of purple connect perfectly!

I can't wait to see what Nailgasm has next, her creations are truly amazing.

Candy Lacquer My Little Pony!

When I found out Candy Lacquer had come out with a My Little Pony line of polishes, I knew I had to have it! So I've been ordering little by little to complete my collection. I thought today I would share the two Princesses and Queen villainess.

Princess Celestia is a clear base stuffed with all kinds of fun shapes, colors and sizes. I did two coats over Revlon Minted. There are pastel pink and blue squares, hexes and diamonds! Along with beautiful iridescent hexes of all sizes. Golden stars dazzle and there are even little hidden pink hearts! What more could you possibly ask for?

Princess Luna is also a clear base filled to the brim with glitter goodies! I did two coats over Essie Butler Please. Bright blue squares and hexes of all sizes along with purple and black. Gorgeous metallic purple shards, silver moons, blue stars and blue and black hearts are just some of the hidden treasures I was able to find in this bottle!

Queen Chrysalis is devilishly full of glitters! I did two coats over Color Club The Lime Starts Here. Lovely blue squares, diamonds, hexes and even mini bars! Accompanied by white and black hexes,  diamonds, squares and mini bars as well.

I was really impressed with how well thought out and created these three were and am excited to see what the rest have to offer!

You can find Candy Lacquer's store here.

Anniversary Nails!

I know I haven't posted in awhile, but I'm still here! Yesterday was my 2nd wedding anniversary, so I did a special manicure for the occasion! Its usually hard to decide what to do with my nails unless I pick my outfit first.

I got this dress from Target, the accessories are all from Ross. I've never worn the dress, but my husband says I look good in red so I decided it was time to wear it!

For my manicure, I did little lines that corresponded with the pattern of the dress. The colors I used are Color Club Cadillac Red, Blue-Topia and Meet Me At My Chateau. My nickname for my husband is bear, which explains my cute little accent nail. I used Essie Glamour Purse and Color Club Nomadic Nude. I really love how these turned out!

We had a blast last night, got a bite to eat and did a little shopping. I picked up two of the Hello Kitty polishes from Sephora!

As for the 300 follower giveaway, the last bits I ordered are coming from Hong Kong which is why its taking so long. I apologize for that, I will start it ASAP! I really want to get it started! I think you'll really love the prizes though!

Hits Mari Moon Multigirl Glitter Shock

Once I saw the names of the polishes in this Hits Mari Moon pack, you know I had to have them! The box they come in is awesome, love the little heart window.

The set includes Cheesecake, Banana Split, Suspiro and Cucpake. Each is unique and fully packed with glitter! The bottles are also adorable.

Cheesecake actually reminds me of Revlon's Scandalous, but I think the big hexes in this are holo. Its a black jelly base with lots of magenta glitters everywhere! I did two layers over a Deborah Lippann black.

I found Cheesecake more appealing in matte though and no, not just because I love matte. You can really see the tiny hexes better in matte.

Banana Split has a very sheer yellow base to it, with silver and rainbow hexes galore! I put one layer over Ulta Cream Of The Crop.

With the matte you can barely see the color of the base that Banana Split is. I noticed there was a lot more green glitter than anything else, which is funny.

Suspiro is a sheer blue base with purple, silver and blue hexes. I'd have to say this is one of my favorites, its just so pretty. I layered two coats over China Glaze Sweet Hook.

Its even more stunning in matte and you can see more of the tiny hexes again. I just love it!

Cupcake is a pink jelly base with silver, rainbow and giant white hexes. I'd have to say this is my favorite because I love anything involving cupcakes, heh. I layered one coat over O.P.I Pink Friday.

I love how it jelly sandwiches itself. And there's so much glitter!

I really love the whole collection and would love to get more Mari Moon in the future.

Giveaway update!

I've received most of the prizes, but am waiting on around five more. I'm sorry we're behind schedule on it! But as soon as I get everything together I'll start ASAP! Thank you for being patient.

Ziploc Hole Punch Tutorial

I wanted to do a short tutorial today on how to hole punch Ziploc bags for nail decals! I used a heart hole punch in my Queen Of Hearts nails and got a lot of questions on how the heart was so precise. You're going to need a Ziploc bag (of course), a piece of thick paper (like printer or scrapbook), polish and a hole punch!

First of all just take your colors and paint a little swatch on the Ziploc bag. You'll want to make sure its 100% dry or the polish might stick to the hole punch or smudge. Once its dry, place the paper underneath your color swatch and put both pieces into the hole punch. I would suggest putting the paper on top so that the polish doesn't stick to the hole punch.

There are two ways to do this. You can wait until the polish is completely dry and peel it off the baggie, then place on the paper and hole punch. There's a small chance of it cracking if its too dry though. What I do is just hole punch through the baggie, color and paper and peel the polish away from the baggie.

Once you're done with that step you can place your decal on your nail and place top coat over it. If you want to insure it won't move you can put a dab of clear polish down before you place it. I noticed my green had become discolored after using my top coat, but I figured the point was to show how nice the hearts turned out!

I got a few bubbles as well, but I thought the end result was really cute! I haven't tried this technique with smaller hole punches, but it works perfectly with big designs. Have fun!
