I've Got The Gloomy Greys

For awhile now I've been wanting to do a big grey comparison. Grey is one of my go to colors for when I don't know what to do with my nails, but don't want to go out with naked nails. So here's a few shades of grey that I love.

First up we have Megan Miller Foxy and China Glaze Recycle. They're both light in color, but the Megan Miller has more of a brown tint to it. The Megan Miller is a little harder to get opaque than the China Glaze.

Next is Essie Smokin' Hot and Sally Hansen Grey Area. These two are pretty much identical! They're more a purple/brown grey. I bought Essie first awhile ago, but if I'd known there was a cheaper dupe I probably would've stuck with the Sally Hansen.

And last is O.P.I Nein! Nein! Nein! Okay Fine! and China Glaze Concrete Catwalk. Its clear to see the O.P.I has more of a green to it than the China Glaze, its also darker. I really like the China Glaze though.

Sorry this post is so quick today, I'm going to see Nightmare Before Christmas tonight! Super excited!

Nailgasm Review Pt. 2

Its time for part two of Nailgasm's lovely polish collection! I just want to add that Nailgasm also has really great customer service. I had a problem and she helped me right away!

Unicorn Barf is full of amazing matte glitters and tiny holo hexes. I only needed one coat to get this amazing coverage. I layered it over Essie Lilacism.

Snow Flurious is a minty green with a hint of blue. It has micro flakies in it, you can't really see, but they're beautiful! It also has light green and white hexes. And blue squares!

Ice Cream Dream is a creamy pink with tiny blue hexes, bigger pink hexes and purple squares. I really love this one because its so cute!

I love the way Nailgasm mixes hexes with squares in a lot of her polishes. It really makes them unique!

Nailgasm Review Pt. 1

I recently learned of an awesome new indie maker named Nailgasm. With her gorgeous glitters and deliciously dirty name, I knew I had to try some of her polishes out! I got in touch with her and she sent me a big package of goodies, so many I had to break this into two posts!

Prickly Pear is a unique jelly green base with black, green and clear hexes. Also a ton of tiny, almost hidden clear hexes. I love the green base by itself, I've never seen a green quite like it! The black hexes make this polish so cute and fruity.

Of Corpse I Love You is an almost grey green base with what looks like tiny yellow-ish hexes. It also has bigger red, black and silver hexes. Now when I saw this color online I wasn't sure that I'd like it. But when I put it on, I loved it! Its zombie-like, with a pinch of glamour.

Tardis Blue is a gorgeous blue holo. If you're a Doctor Who fan like I am, you have to own this polish! Its amazing, the picture doesn't do the holographic effect justice! It looks lighter in the bottle, but turned out to be a perfect Tardis blue. I love it!

I'll continue my review with a post with three of Nailgasm's other lovely polishes, so keep an eye out for it!

You can purchase these beauties at Nailgasm's Etsy!

A Different Kind Of Halloween Nails!

So Halloween is coming up soon and everyone seems to be doing nails for the occasion! I wanted to join in the fun, but I wanted something new that hasn't quite been done before. Recently I've been so hung up on this wonderful game called Binding of Isaac and got some nail inspiration from it.

If you don't know the game Isaac (middle finger) is the protagonist and he has to navigate room to room and battle against all kinds of monsters, creatures and even his own mother. On the thumb finger I put his little life hearts mainly because I couldn't fit Mom's fat foot on it. Heh.

On the pinky is a fly, an annoying little pest. The index finger is whats known as a Leaper and the ring finger is a Maw. I really love the way the Maw turned out, its just so deliciously bloody.

I had to hand mix a lot of the colors I used, but the base color is Sinful Colors Nirvana. I also used Butter London matte to top it off because shiny just didn't feel right with the theme.

Rainbow Honey Limited Edition The Yokai Review

I am so happy that Rainbow Honey sent over their new limited edition The Yokai collection. Three gorgeous new polishes that I'm happy to review! Looks like they've updated their boxes, they look lovely.

Kawako, Oni and Kitsune are perfect for fall and Halloween.

Again, I just love the font they use on their bottles!

Kawako "The michevious river child" is a deep, dark blue with what looks like gold or silver micro flakies. They are also hidden bigger flakies in there, so that was a nice surprise!

It looks just gorgeous with a shiny top coat.

But the real magic of Rainbow Honey polishes is when you put a matte coat on them! You can see on my thumb and index finger the hidden bigger flakies.

Oni "The malevolent wild demon" is a gorgeous black packed full of golden and chocolate brown micro flakies. I didn't find any bigger flakies, but its still beautiful.

I love the richness of this color with shiny top coat.

You can really see the gold flakies when its matte. Its just amazing!

Kitsune "The magical white fox" is a yellow creamy base with orange, brown and gold tiny hexes. It just screams Autumn, I love it!

I cannot begin to tell you how freaking gorgeous this color is! It makes me think of Fall and Reese's candy!

In this case, its a lot more beautiful in a shiny top coat than in matte.

I'd have to say that Kitsune is my absolute favorite and will probably be wearing it until Winter. And Oni is a close second, its so rich!

This collection will be available at Rainbow Honey on October 13th, so be sure to check them out and grab some before they're all gone! I highly suggest it!
